The first time I stepped into The Loft at 600 F I immediately fell in love with the space and the friendly staff. Nestled in the heart of DC’s Penn Quarter, this private space is the perfect venue to host an intimate wedding, bridal shower, or engagement party. In addition to the location, I love how easy it is to transform the space to accommodate the style of an event. With the abundance of light, hardwood floors, and exposed brick – the space is a blank canvas for any event! With 3 floors and a customer service centric staff, the possibilities are endless. Today Wyatt Hull is sharing the details of one of our favorite DC wedding venues.

Full ceremony and reception experiences often incorporate either two or all three of our versatile open spaces. The beautiful antique stairwell allows for an effortless and interactive transition between ceremony, cocktails, reception, and dance floor.

We are a very DIY space and provide built-in sound system, seating, and tables as well as bistro lights, LED uplighting, and beautiful decor elements. The rest is left up to the imagination and desires of a couple, as the exposed brick, hardwood floors, and modular furniture fit across the spectrum from casual to exquisite perfection.

Describe the signature style of the space.

Big windows with natural light, exposed brick, and hardwood original floors. It’s a New York loft feel mixed with a west coast attitude, nestled in the heart of DC. You can step off the Gallery Place Metro and walk into The Loft without adding any decorations and have a beautiful, intimate affair.

What’s the one thing you wish couples knew before searching for a wedding venue?

The best prepared couples have thought through the specific questions they want to asking all the venues they’re exploring to allow them to compare them apples-to-apples. We hear all the time that since we have such an extensive approved caterer list and are able to support late end times with minimal sound limitations, that we stand out from all the other more restrictive venues.

What wedding planning advice would you give an engaged couple?

Vendors will make or break a wedding experience. While we have an extensive list of approved caterers for example (we like to accommodate when couples have specific requests), there are definitely those who stand well above the rest in professionalism and going above the call of duty to ensure a *happy* wedding.

How long in advance do you recommend couples book their wedding venue?

We still have some of our weddings book within 3 months, especially for more  casual affairs on Fridays, but typically a minimum of 6-9 months in advance is a good game plan.

What is one thing you wish all newly engaged couples knew about wedding planning?

The best prepared couples have thought through the specific questions they want to asking all the venues they’re exploring to allow them to compare them apples-to-apples. We hear all the time that since we have such an extensive approved caterer list, allow for couples to supply their own alcohol, and are able to support late end times with minimal sound limitations, that we stand out from all the other more restrictive venues.
